The Situation

An energy regulations company wanted to develop digital capabilities to better improve customer experience by making thousands of pages of regulatory content easier to find.

The Task

I was asked to work with a vendor that was selected to digitise energy regulations to develop a new SaaS product that allowed end users to search, tag and map regulations at individual clause level.

The Action / Approach

As a product owner I:

Created a product roadmap, business case and operating model

Signed a partnership agreement with the RegTech SaaS platform provider

Led a team of data specialists to digitise and maintain thousands of pages of regulatory text

Utilised the same team to onboard big banks for the RegTech SaaS provider

 

The Result

An industry first in the Energy Industry – nominated for an innovation award

The commissioning company won a multi-million Pound contract for the latest regulations to be issued

The RegTech platform was able to meet the challenging needs of banks onboarding their policies and procedures onto the platform within record time and to 98.99% accuracy
