Mercedes Benz needed a new agency partner to transform their global digital marketing activity
The Task
Matt was hired as Global PMO Delivery Lead & Transformation Partner
The Action / Approach
- As Senior Delivery Lead driving digital transformation within Daimler towards a modern, data driven, digitally relevant and ‘always on’ company, shaping initiatives including digital learning, business model roll out, sharing successful initiatives, data tagging and taxonomy, CRM Strategy and promoting CX led E-com solutions
- As PMO and operational lead, I steered activities across Daimler headquarters, regions and local markets
- As Global Delivery Lead I led and supported 8 Programme Managers and 40 delivery managers across 80 scopes of business
- As Global Delivery Lead I established the delivery community and maintained ongoing team mentorship
- As part of Transformation of internal transformation and improvement of operational processess I led the development of budget planning and delivery tools to connect data, improve reporting and standardise processes
- As Global Delivery Lead I devised Agile Transformation Programmes for the client and internal operations, spearheading Agile ways of working and C-Level Agile training and mentoring
- As Global Delivery Lead I developed delivery team training and development across project manangement activities (e.g. improvements to estimation, scoping, margin & profitability,)
The Result
I successfully led
- Dainler across a number of their transformation challenges, reducing siloes across the business and improving global ways of working
- the successful co-ordination of global, regional and local activities
- the development of a Target Operating Model and ways of working for global to local creative and strategic marketing development, data strategy, creative content development, production hubs activity, production optimisation, as well as marketing data dashboard development
- delivery and steering of €32m of business for Publicis Emil across 80 scopes of business
- the hiring and co-ordination of 8 Programme Managers and 40 delivery managers
- the transition to agile ways of workng across all business groups and teams
