I am Paul Stanyer of PS Tech, a fast-growing MSP in East Sussex, with clients across the UK in various sectors. Our association with Cybility Consulting arose from an urgent requirement for one of our clients.  A medium-sized charity we collaborate with expressed the need for a thorough cybersecurity review.  Although I was drawn to Cybility’s reputation and approach, I had initial reservations about the potential complexity of their report. I was concerned if it would it be too technical for our client?

Michala from Cybility, offered their Amply Assuring Assessor™ service to provide a structured approach to a gap analysis against the NIST Cyber Security Framework.

The engagement started with a kick-off meeting document review, and an interview marathon with key stakeholders followed. Not only was Michala’s approach to these interviews thorough, but her empathetic approach also made a significant difference. The end result was a thorough, yet accessible, report.

The delivered report exceeded our expectations. It was written in plain-English, was very clear and understandable, and our client could understand it too. This was a win, win for all parties.

The graphical diagrams made clearer some of the deeper data that the report included and helps us to visually measure the clients current position against the preferred security framework.

The summary sections equipped our client with actionable, clear-cut recommendations.

Furthermore, as a direct result of Cybility’s work, our client engaged us to both fix the findings  and finally moved away from a pay-as-you-go model to a more comprehensive IT service with us.
