The Situation

Having created, communicated and developed the companies brand strategy one particular value I was passionate about was around “caring about our people and the world we live in” to underpin this value I setup our own Sustainability committee along with a dedicated resource hub on our website for comms purposes. Having established a team and effective means of communicating our sustainable journey to our people the next step was to get the company B-Corp certified.

The Task

Researched B-Corp certification suitability by attending web events and consulting with certified companies.

Drove certification process, including assembling a dedicated team by utilising Asana for project management.

The Action / Approach

Ensured transparent company-wide communication about the significance of B-Corp for Sass & Belle.

 

The Result

Achieved a score of 61 in the B-Corp audit and initiated improvement measures to target a score of over 80.

Company is now B-Corp certified and is on a constant improvement journey to reduce carbon output.
