The Situation
Web App and Data Warehouse urgently required to track Covid testing and send results, with manual sending of result data.
The Task
The client came to us facing issues with tracking covid tests using numerous Google Sheets for each client and data transfer processes into an SQL server.
They urgently needed a replacement web application to track the tests and send results out via email or SMS.
The Action / Approach
Within a few days, we had the structure for both the Business Data and Data Warehouse mapped out.
A Progressive Web Application was built on top of the Business Data and tested side by side with Google Docs, the App had the following features included;
- Two Factor Authentication for users
- Role Based Permissions per page
- Scanner, Barcode and QR Code features
- SMS and Email messaging features
- Dynamic Questionnaires
- Dynamic Experiment Plate Management
The Result
The amount of manual processing was cut by around 95% considering the business to scale the number of tests significantly.
At peak Covid the application handled over 40,000,000 requests per month.
