The Situation

A large pharmaceutical company designated its Scottish medical devices site for closure, with the resulting loss of 400 jobs. The closure was receiving a great deal of media attention.

The Task

To support the HR Team, Senior Management Team and Employees in navigating outplacement and deliver support services and advice.

The Action / Approach

Liaised with the HR and Senior Team on site, consulting and supporting.

Delivered 1:1 sessions and workshops – Getting Started, Career Assessment, CV development, Approaching the Market, Interview Success, Networking, LinkedIn, Third Sector, Self employment: Right for You, Basics and Interim, Contracting and Consulting

Liaised with outplacement consultancy colleagues, PACE and external training providers.

Gathered feedback.

The Result

Ensured that everyone on site, irrespective of their role received appropriate support to help them make decisions and take action about their future. The site closed on time and the project came in on budget.
