The Situation

A national accessibility consultancy needed a stakeholder-grounded strategic report to refresh its direction and grow its impact and reach.

The Task

Deliver a strategic report for CAE that consolidated comprehensive stakeholder consultation into actionable recommendations on strategic and operational direction — robust enough to shape the organisation’s forward plan.

The Action / Approach

Designed and ran the stakeholder consultation programme — covering board, staff, clients, partners, and beneficiary voice. Synthesised qualitative interview data with quantitative inputs. Identified strategic themes, capability gaps, and growth opportunities. Structured the report around impact and reach, with clear prioritisation. Presented findings and recommendations to the CAE leadership team for adoption. Delivered jointly with associate Chris Dunn.

The Result

Report adopted as the foundation of CAE’s strategic and operational plans to grow impact and reach. Client described it as “more in-depth than we could have asked for” (Fara, CAE). The recommendations are now actively shaping organisational direction; CAE has continued to engage Wingfield Consultants for follow-on advisory.
