The Situation

A four-month tenure as a Senior Product Manager at Huge, I spearheaded the strategic redesign of Brenntag SE’s e-commerce experience, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The Task

My primary responsibilities included defining the core product vision, aligning stakeholders, prioritizing design and development activities, collaborating with UX experts and engineers, and ensuring seamless technical implementation.

The Action / Approach

I helped define and refine the core product vision, goals, functionality, and requirements for Brenntag’s digital journey. This involved understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within the chemical distribution industry. Prioritisation was a key aspect of my role. I managed to prioritise design and development activities in close collaboration with experience design, project, and client leadership. This ensured that our efforts were focused on the most critical aspects of the project. I worked closely with engineering teams to determine the best technical implementation methods. This included assisting in QA acceptance testing and leading product launches to ensure a successful transition to the new digital ecosystem.

The Result

This multifaceted role culminated in successful outcomes, including a comprehensive discovery phase, the establishment of Design System 1.0, and the creation of key e-commerce user journey wireframes. I take pride in contributing to Brenntag SE’s digital transformation and setting the stage for future growth across their digital ecosystem.
