The Situation

As part of UBM’s transformation into a focused Events business they initiated a business change programme to establish an industry-leading operating platform and infrastructure for frontline commercial activities.

The Task

Blue Banner was engaged to put in place effective programme governance and lead on the implementation of a new global sales and marketing operating model.

The Action / Approach

I created the appropriate governance model for the business change programme, developed a milestone plan in collaboration with other programmes, created a cross-functional delivery team in partnership with Deloitte, and led regional implementation teams in delivery of changes to processes, people and technology across regions.

The Result

The outcome was a programme that was able to deliver an optimised sales and marketing operation with consistent and best practice OD and processes across EMEA, Americas and Asia. The future operating model includes the consolidation and replacement of regional technical solutions to create a more connected global platform.
