Appointed to drive the group towards shared services and to transform the people and technology capability in IT to underpin growth into new markets and revenue streams

 

The Action / Approach

Transformed the leadership, culture, processes and capability within IT and the wider business to enable us to deliver a finance shared service and a shared service approach to many group functions including IT. This lead to streamlined processes delivering nearly £2m annualized savings. 

Built a strategic and annual investment plan for services and infrastructure with clear roadmaps for all which measured and significantly increased the value being added, resulting in a doubling of Return on Investment and a reduction in operational cost of over £2m.

Delivered new methods and ways of working in IT which enabled us to deliver the biggest and most successful infrastructure refresh in the groups history, an award winning business to business eCommerce platform and a customer service capability that transformed our agents and engineers into salespeople.

Had a strong personal relationship with the customer CIO and was executive sponsor of the largest single piece of business the group has ever won and delivered (over £100m).

Role expanded to take on Estates, Property, Front of House and Security to further drive company transformation.

Built an Agile delivery capability and SOA architecture which underpinned a very successful system delivery in B2B eCommerce and consumer customer service

Planned and implementing a property strategy and reduction programme.
