The Situation

A UK Education Regulator was concerned that its parent Government Department was to be abolished (which did happen), so it needed to be split out as a fully independent entity.

The Task

To lead an inernal programme team to plan and manage the 12 required projects, so that the client could become fully stand alone within 12 months. Budget was £12m.

The Action / Approach

Worked with the 12 project managers, and 3 external It suppliers, to plan and deliver the 12 separation projects, on time and budget. Selected and procured 3 IT systems. Projects covered IT, legal changes in Parliament, governance, policies, branding and marketing, communications, etc.

The Result

The team and suppliers perofrmed well and the client was fully separated within 9 months and on budget, and is still operating successfully today.
