The Task

David was engaged to advise on supplier capabilities and to run a transparent and fair selection process and support the contract negotiations.

The Action / Approach

David ran a small team of SMEs with skills in the following areas: supply market understanding, procurement process, service management and supplier negation.

He provided template RFI/RFP materials, service level agreements and technical and commercial requirements, and advised in the negotiation and contractual discussion.

The insight provided by David on the strengths and weaknesses of the main supplier was an important contribution to the success of the project

The Result

The client‘s IT infrastructure was successfully outsourced to schedule in 3 months

The contract represented a step improvement in service and very substantial saving in operational costs

One year later, the client is pleased with the progress made by the selected supplier and the quality of the contract

The client has invited David to contribute to other technology sourcing initiatives
