Current Role Details
I am currently available.

In my most recent role I was self-employed at Specsavers

CASE STUDIES
DIVESTMENT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED TO CONTRACTUALLY IMPOSED DEADLINE - Case Study: 1 of 3.

Situation
The business divestment timescale was defined contractually and the workload was fixed and non-negotiable. The availability of resource with the required experience was strictly limited. There was no flexibility.

Task
Although business processes for both the remaining and the divested businesses were to remain unchanged, neither business should be able to access the data of the other. A 'wall' was needed to guarantee that separation.

Action
Through a combination of detailed planning and monitoring, simple hard work and clear communications the programme was delivered on time. The CIO of the client organisation commented that he had believed the programme was not deliverable in the timescales required.

Results
Successful completion on time and within budget. The two businesses were able to operate independently on the contractually committed date.
DEVELOPMENT OF AN APPROACH TO BENEFITS REALISATION - Case Study: 2 of 3.

Situation
A potential commercial opportunity to develop a marketable approach and process for ensuring the realisation of the benefits of business change

Task
To prepare marketable collateral including process documentation, for presentation to clients and to support Sales activities.

Action
Collateral developed and presented externally, including to PMP events and potential clients. .

Results
Several engagements were undertaken and completed, and documented business change benefits were achieved for those clients.
MAJOR CHANGE PROGRAMME FOR A LARGE NORWEGIAN DISTRIBUTION ORGANISATION - Case Study: 3 of 3.

Show / Hide Full Details

Situation
The Client's IT Services were provided by a single third party. Costs and achieved service levels were both unsatisfactory. The client's strategy was to replace the single provider with five specialist providers in order to simultaneously reduce costs and improve service levels.

Task
To migrate services to the new strategic providers with no disruption to service. This required the close management of six independent organisations each with their own agenda and geography, to a fixed budget and in less than two years. The initial view of the clients own management was that this management task could be carried out by their own senior management:

Action
Detailed plans were developed with all providers for approval by the client. In addition to management of progress against plan, relationships between the providers were also managed in detail . Regular, independent quality monitoring reviews were implemented and included in reporting to client and provider management.

Results
The migration to the new providers was completed on time and within budget. The client's senior management commented that 'this would not have been achieved without these specific individuals'.
